Reproduction of a deck of cards originally designed by Lewis I. Cohen in the mid-nineteenth century, and reproduced in 1864 as the "Highlanders" deck.

The court cards were designed to look similar to earlier European  (see our Seventeenth-Nineteenth century deck) and American cards, but this reproduction has the addition of a matte-finished coating. Particularly suitable for American Civil War period reenactment, or for anyone wanting period cards with greater durability than our other reproduction decks.

Single-ended court figures are full-length, and cards have square corners. An additional plain ace of spades is also included.

Deck comprises 53 playing cards and two information cards. Cards are laminated. Card dimensions 3.5” x 2.5”.
