Our wooden board version of Alea Evangelii, or The Game of the Gospels, known from an 11th century Anglo-Saxon manuscript is available for commission only. Quarter-sawn oak board, with un-mitred corners, in early medieval style; oak border secured with feature rosehead nails. Comes with beechwood pieces, which are supplied in a linen pouch; and with rules and historical notes to the full range of tafl games. Approximate price for example shown £120.
